History

 

The practice was first established as Stuart Bagshaw and Associates by director Stuart Bagshaw in 1982. This was the first private business venture by Bagshaw after having spent many years working in Local Authorities.

 

During this time the practice undertaken a diverse portfolio, not limited to private residential, but also including community projects and our largest, and most complex project, the multi-million pharmaceutical development for BASF Pharma (Callanish). 

 

In 2008 the practice became a limited company and was re-named  'sba architects ltd.' Business continued as normal as we developed some of our most celebrated projects such as Black Sheep Cottage, Blue Reef Cottage and Borve Estate.

 

Following the success of these projects the practice has gained notoriety in creating buildings born out of the land which embrace the identity of each locale.

More recently sba architects ltd. has taken the decision to reduce their staff and workload as it enters a new phase. However, projects of all sizes are still welcome. 

 

 

People

​

The practice is headed by Director and Architect Stuart Bagshaw. There are also two administrators, the primary being Lesley Bagshaw.
